Invitation to the Annual General Meeting Vienna 2026

Dear Member Companies,
The FIFA World Cup 2026 is over, and the summer break on the political stage is likely to have come to an end in the EU member states as well. Everyday life is gradually returning, and instead of public viewing, we have had a public consultation on Cr(VI).
Traditionally, this also means that our Annual General Meeting is getting closer. This year, it will take us to Vienna, and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you there at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, either in person or online.
When and where?
Date: Tuesday, 29 September 2026
Start: Registration from 8:00 a.m.; event begins at 9:30 a.m.
Venue: WKO – Hall 5, Wiedner Hauptstraße 63, 1045 Vienna
What to expect
The main topics will be the regulatory restrictions concerning chromium trioxide and PFAS. In addition to practical questions and limit values, we would particularly like to examine these issues from a variety of perspectives. To this end, we have invited several guest speakers from different areas of the REACH community.
The highlight will be a panel discussion addressing the question:
What kind of economy do we want to have in the EU in the future?
Due to the availability of our guest speakers, the technical presentations and panel discussion will take place in the afternoon. Association activities, including this year’s elections of the Executive Board and Advisory Board, will take place in the morning. Given the occasion, we have also invited the members of AOT to join us as guests for the afternoon sessions.
Once again, this year’s Annual General Meeting will be held as a hybrid event. Members attending in person in Vienna and staying overnight are warmly invited to a networking evening in a typical Viennese atmosphere on 28 September. The Hotel The Cloud One Wiener Staatsoper has reserved a room allotment for you until 24 August 2026.

To help us plan the event, please let us know by September 8th 2026 whether you will be attending and, if so, whether you will participate in person or online. If you are unable to attend, you will also find a proxy authorization form included with this invitation.
Please note: For organizational reasons, late registration on the day of the event will only be possible until 8:30 a.m.
If you wish to submit any changes to the agenda, please notify the Executive Board at least five working days in advance. Please note that any Annual General Meeting duly convened in accordance with the applicable formal requirements and deadlines shall constitute a quorum regardless of the number of members present.
