The holidays and the summer-break of chemical policy are over, and the weather and mood already have a touch of autumn. For years, this has traditionally been the time for our Annual General Assembly, which will take place in Oberhausen this year.

What to expect

The dominant topic will continue to be the draft restriction on chromium trioxide. How can the new scientific limits be met, initial findings from the public consultation, the expected implementation period, and the question of whether authorisations will continue to apply. If these are topics that interest you, then you've come to the right place.

As in the past, we have invited guest speakers to cover the topics from different perspectives in the afternoon. This year, the event will again be held as a hybrid general assembly.

Members who come to Oberhausen in person and stay overnight are cordially invited to a networking evening on 3 November. The Elaya Hotel in Oberhausen has reserved a block of rooms for you.

To help us plan the event better, please let us know by 15 October 2025 whether you will be attending and in what way. If you are unable to attend, you will find a proxy form enclosed with this invitation.

If you wish to submit motions, please notify the Executive Board at least five working days in advance. Please note that every General Assembly that has been called in due time and form is entitled to pass resolutions regardless of the number of members present.
