discuss topics important to VECCO e.V., such as REACH and the possible change from the authorisation requirement under Annex XIV to the restriction under Annex XVII, with our members and many interested trade fair visitors.
The still unresolved question of the timeframe in which the EU committees will make decisions on this issue was of interest to many guests.
Opposite our stand in the Surface Technology Forum, a number of presentations were given that also dealt with topics that are important to us. These included the introduction of REACh-compliant coatings and the introduction of CIII technologies in specific fields of application. The presentations were interesting and highlighted a number of technical advances. However, unresolved issues in this context, such as higher coating thicknesses or nickel release and food compatibility, could not be clarified here either.
The presentation of some of our members on the screen at the stand met with great interest. Many visitors followed the video show with interest. Many thanks to everyone who participated for the logos, videos and contributions.
The trade fair once again demonstrated that our presence with the important topic of chrome plating and the current uncertainties surrounding it is a key issue for many users.
